The “American Heritage Dictionary” defines the word ministry as: "The act of Serving". Needs both in the community of Gettysburg, PA and in our congregation, lend themselves perfectly as an opportunity for YOU to serve the Lord. Memorial Baptist Church acknowledges a variety of needs and offers an equally wide variety of ways to get involved in the Lords work by filling the gaps these needs create.
GROW is an outreach ministry for willing members to get involved in community outreach once a month through visitation, letter writing, or phone calling. Come out and help us be an encouragement to local individuals and families who have expressed an interest in our church. If you would like to join a GROW team please contact your deacon.
The music ministry of Memorial Baptist Church is lead by Dave Messenger and consists of both the church choir and the Praise and Worship Team. Our church choir is open to any and all who would like to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The Praise and Worship Team is a smaller collection of talented singers/musicians who perform musical specials and lead the church in song each Sunday. If your interested in performing special music please contact Dave Messenger to be scheduled.
The puppet team is a unique ministry that offers church youth a fun way to serve the Lord. Our puppeteers travel to local churches and nursing homes providing entertaining shows for both young and old.

Each year at Christmas the deacons deliver around 25 holiday food baskets to church families with special needs. The baskets consist of traditional holiday meal items. Donating food items is one small way you can pass on the spirit of Christmas and help ensure these families are able to enjoy a delicious Christmas meal.
